Wo findet man "richtige" Flohmärkte in Berlin?

fwiw the flea market at Rathaus Schöneberg on saturdays is pretty under the radar. it's mostly older people from the neighborhood clearing out their attics, not the young vintage reseller crowd. you'll find old GDR stuff, kitchenware, and actual used clothes for a euro or two

another one that flies under the radar is the one at Tempelhofer Feld near the Oderstraße entrance. it's not every week, more like once a month, but it's super random and uncurated. people just lay out blankets with whatever they don't want anymore

if you're willin to travel a bit, the Flohmarkt in Lichtenberg at the Antonplatz is worth it on sundays. it's got that chaotic messy feel where you actually have to dig through piles of stuff. no one's selling new shit or overpriced "vintage" tees there

honestly, the problem with Mauerpark and RAW is they've become tourist traps. if you want the real "Ramsch" vibe, try the Flohmarkt am Boxhagener Platz in Friedrichshain on Sundays. it's way smaller and less commercial, more families selling old kids clothes and random household stuff they found in the basement

another tip is the Flohmarkt in der Gipsstraße in Mitte on Saturdays. it's a hidden one, mostly locals, and you'll find actual vintage clothes not the curated stuff. just get there early before the dealers scoop everything up

also check out the Flohmarkt on Karl-Marx-Allee near the Weberwiese U-Bahn. it happens every second weekend or so and is super low key. people just bring their old crap in boxes, no professional sellers really

yeah i feel you on that, the commercial ones are annoying. check out the one at Arkonaplatz on sundays, its real small and mostly old people selling actual junk from their flats, not the instagram vintage crowd

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
