Weed policy in open air concert venues?

I couldn't find any info about that on their web pages, so maybe s/o here already knows before I go to concerts this summer 😬

I live near the Wuhlheide and have been going to shows there for years. The security is definitely more relaxed about weed now, but they still check for glass bottles and professional cameras more than anything. I usually just keep a preroll in my sunglasses case and drop it in the tray like it's normal, never had a problem. If you're really worried, the S-Bahn ride there is long enough to smoke one before you even get to the gate.

fwiw I've been to both a few times this summer and the vibe is way more chill than last year. at Waldbühne last month security was literally just waving people through with a quick bag check, no pat downs. they're prob more worried about glass bottles and big umbrellas than a few grams

my friend actually asked a guard at Wuhlheide about it outright and he just shrugged and said "solange du nicht nervst" which basically means don't be an ass about it. so I'd still keep it low key but you're not gonna get hassled if you're discreet

The security staff at those venues are mostly private contractors, not police, so they're focused on keeping the line moving more than strict enforcement. I've seen people at Wuhlheide openly smoking in the crowd during sets without any issue, though security might ask you to put it out if you're right near them. Just keep it in your pocket or a small pouch and act normal, they're not going to tear apart your bag for a personal amount.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
