I've seen some stuff of Spielbank, does anyone know what the rules on Blackjack are like for example? Are the slots fun and what's the average min. bet? Thanks in advance.

fwiw the spielbank at potsdamer platz is fine but it's a bit sterile, like a bank with cards. if you want something with more energy try the casino at the estrel hotel, it's a taxi ride out in neukölln but the blackjack tables have a livelier crowd and the minimums are around 10 euro most nights. slots are better there too, they have some newer machines with decent bonus rounds. just bring your passport, they won't let you in without it even if you're 50

honestly the Spielbank at Potsdamer Platz is fine but it's not really a "vegas experience" or anything, it's more of a quiet government-run thing. blackjack rules are pretty standard like the other person said, but I think the minimums creep up to 15 or 20 on weekend nights so keep that in mind. if you're looking for something more social, there's a small poker room at the Casino Berlin in Charlottenburg but it's mostly Texas hold'em tournaments, not blackjack. slots are meh imo, the payout is better than a bar but you're still playing against a hefty house edge. one tip: bring your passport, they're strict about ID even if you look old enough

Spielbank Berlin is your main option, there's one at Potsdamer Platz and another at the Marlene-Dietrich-Platz. Blackjack rules are pretty standard here, dealer hits on soft 17 and you can double after split in most cases. Minimum bets on tables are usually around 10 euros during the day, maybe 5 if you go early on a weekday. Slots are fine but nothing special, the vibe at the Potsdamer Platz location feels a bit more like a hotel lobby than a real casino tbh. If you want a more casual night, some of the bigger bars in Mitte have poker machines but the payout is worse than Spielbank.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
