Can I buy PrEP in Berlin as a tourist if I live in an other EU country?

I've checked this sub if someone has asked it before but the post I found is from a couple of years ago. Has it changed since then? I've checked this sub if someone has asked it before but the post I found is from a couple of years ago. Has it changed since then?

One thing that's worth knowing: if you're already on PrEP back home, bring your current prescription and a recent HIV test result. The doctors here are pretty chill, but having that paperwork speeds things up a lot, especially if you're in a hurry. I'd also suggest calling ahead to the Berliner Aids-Hilfe or a Checkpoint, their walk-in hours can be packed on weekday afternoons, and the German paperwork is a bit of a hassle if you're not used to it. For the pharmacy, the big Ketten like DocMorris or Apotheke im Einkaufszentrum near Gesundbrunnen are reliable, but a smaller neighbourhood Apotheke often has generics in stock and less queue. Just make sure your card has a chip for the card reader, some international cards get declined at the counter.

You can absolutely get PrEP in Berlin as an EU tourist, and it hasn't really changed much in the last few years. The main thing is that you'll have to pay out of pocket since your European Health Insurance Card won't cover it, but that's the same for locals who are privately insured. Walk into any HIV/STI check-point or a place like the Berliner Aids-Hilfe, they're used to seeing tourists and can do the quick HIV test before prescribing. For the actual pharmacy pickup, you'll want to go to a regular Apotheke with a prescription from a doctor here; a private prescription costs around 80 to 120 euros for a month's supply of generics. Just bring your passport and be prepared to pay upfront, no need for a German address or registration.

yeah still works fine, just hit up a checkpoint or the aids-hilfe near nollendorfplatz, they'll sort u out same day. bring cash or a card that works internationally, the apotheke won't care about ur home country stuff

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
