A shop like Douglas but with Naturkosmetik?

Something like Ecco verde but as a shop where you can actually test the products. Anyone know of a place like that?

If you're willing to head out to Kreuzberg, LUSH on Bergmannstrasse is worth a look but honestly the better bet is the Reformhaus section inside Karstadt at Hermannplatz. They stock Dr. Hauschka, Lavera, and Weleda makeup alongside testers, and the staff there actually know the products. It's not a dedicated organic shop so the range is smaller than Douglas, but you get the swatching experience plus some mid-range brands that the tiny boutiques don't carry.

tbh I'd skip the individual shops and go to the Naturkosmetik section inside KaDeWe. sounds fancy but their organic beauty floor has stuff you dont see elsewhere like Dr. Hauschka makeup and some Italian brands, and everything has testers. prices are higher than dm but you can actually compare brands side by side in one trip instead of running around Mitte

honestly, you want to check out Alnatura on Torstrasse in Mitte. they have a pretty solid makeup section with brands like Benecos and Alterra, and you can actually swatch most of the stuff before buying. not as huge as Douglas but way better than those tiny boutiques that only sell one brand at 30 euros a lipstick

fwiw, the dm at Alexanderplatz also has a surprisingly big selection of organic makeup now, especially the Alverde line. you can test everything at the testers and the prices are closer to drugstore than boutique

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
