I am looking for some good quality but still reasonable options to furnish it. Probably I would prefer to buy everything (or most things) from the same company so they can also deliver them and assemble them. Obviously my first choice was Ikea. What else is out there? I would also be open to buying used furniture, but from someone who can arrange delivery and (even better) assembly.

For the kitchen specifically, Ikea isn't usually the best route in Berlin. Check out a Küchenstudio, places like Plana or Marquardt run promotions where the measurement, delivery and assembly are bundled in, and the total often isn't far off an Ikea kitchen once you add up all the separate parts. For the rest of the flat, Home24 and Westwing both deliver to Berlin and offer assembly as an add-on, though quality varies a lot by product line so read the material specs. If you want used, Kleinanzeigen is where most people go but you'll be arranging your own transport, so look for listings that mention "Lieferung möglich" or hire a service like Umzugshelden to pick things up for you.

Kleinanzeigen has a "Möbeltransport" filter you can tick, but honestly the more reliable route for used stuff with delivery is Quoka or the Berlin-specific Facebook groups where people are moving out and just want things gone. One thing nobody mentioned: check whether your new place has a Aufzug, because a lot of the cheap delivery services charge extra per floor and it adds up fast on a sofa. For a full kitchen, I'd also look at the smaller local Anbieter like Küchen Aktuell or even the Möbel Höffner in Lichtenberg, they do complete packages with Aufbau and the financing options are decent if you don't want to drop the whole amount at once.

If you want used stuff with delivery and assembly sorted, check out the Sozialkaufhäuser around town, places like the one in Kreuzberg or Neukölln. They sell donated furniture cheap and many of them offer a "Möbeltransport" service for a small fee, though assembly usually isn't included so you'd still need to screw things together yourself. Another option people forget is the Berliner Stadtmission, they sometimes have fully furnished flat packages for people setting up a new place.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
