Panini bread in Berlin?

Are there any shops beyond Großmarkt that sell plain Panini breads as they are used in the Gastro?

Gibt es Läden/Bäcker jenseits des Großhandels, die das Brot für Panini-Sandwiches verkaufen?

honestly i'd check out some of the italian delis in the city. the one on Hauptstraße in Schöneberg (near U-Bahn Innsbrucker Platz) always has ciabatta-style rolls that make great panini, but they also sell proper flat breads sometimes. another spot is the little bakery at Arndtstraße 12 in Kreuzberg, they do a focaccia-like bread that works perfect for toasting. it's not exactly the same as gastro supply but the quality is there and you can buy just a few

yeah there's a few places. the italian bakery at wilmersdorfer straße 123 near u-bahn adenauerplatz sells proper panini bread, the flat kind not the rolls. they bake it fresh and it's pretty close to what you'd get from a gastro supplier. also check out edeka at nollendorfplatz, they have a surprisingly good italian section with packs of those breads by mulino bianco or something similar

Just walk into any Turkish supermarket and grab a bag of the flat breads in the bread aisle. That's what half the cafes here use anyway, it's not some secret gastro-only thing. Damn, why do people treat bread like it's a state secret.

What is the correct spelling for a street name that appears differently on multiple signs in Charlottenburg?

I noticed that the street name is spelled differently on three separate signs in the Charlottenburg area. Can anyone confirm the correct official spelling and whether this is a known issue? Worth noting that Berlin street names have official umlaut and ß rules that trip people up, so a sign showing "Strasse" versus "Straße" is not actually a spelling error, just an older transcription. Same with "ue" versus "ü" (e.g. "Kantstrasse" vs "Kantstraße"), both are considered valid renderings and you'll see the ß version on the blue Schilder and the ss version on older plaques or in databases that predate Unicode. If the difference you're seeing is between those two forms, there's nothing to fix and both are technically correct.

if the signs u mean are the old enamel ones on the house facades those are often protected as Baudenkmal so nobody's allowed to correct them even if the spelling is outdated. the binding version is whatever is in the Berliner Strassenverzeichnis plus the entry in the Liegenschaftskataster, so if u tell me the street i can point u to the right Bezirksamt Mitte or Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf page. tbh the merged district thing is real but the facade signs are a separate story, theyre basically museum pieces at this point

honestly thats super common in Charlottenburg, the district offices were merged from older Bezirke and nobody ever fixed all the Schilder. if its a real street you can check the official strassenverzeichnis on berlin.de, that list is what the Burgeramt actually goes by. which street is it? some of the Kaiserdamm / Kantstrasse signs are notorious for this.
