For food, you can manage on about 20-25 euros a day if you hit the bakeries and markets for lunch. Grab a sandwich or quiche from a boulangerie on Rue du Languedoc for around 5 euros, then do a plat du jour at a neighborhood brasserie for dinner near 12-15 euros. Avoid Place du Capitole restaurants, they're overpriced for what you get. Transit is 1.70 euro per ticket or 5.20 for a 10-trip carnet on the metro, and many sights like the Jacobins church or the covered market at Victor Hugo are free to wander. So I'd budget 35-45 euros a day total, depending on how much you drink or if you want to sit down for a nicer meal.

yeah 35-45 a day is solid but you can push it lower if you're smart. hit the carrefour city or auchan for picnic stuff, grab a baguette and some cheese for like 4-5 euros and eat by the garonne. metro is fine but honestly toulouse is walkable if you're staying central, just get the 10-trip carnet. most museums are free on sundays if you plan around that, like the musee des augustins. i'd say 30-35 if you're not drinking much

If you're okay with a kebab or a Thai box from a Rue de la Colombette takeaway, you can eat well for around 6-8 euros a meal. The Halle de la Daurade has a market hall vibe with cheaper lunch options too. I'd say 25-30 euros a day is doable if you skip sit-down dinners and just walk everywhere.
