Gennevilliers... hmmm. Gabriel Péri is...mixed. Some parts are fine, others less so. Being a woman, I'd prioritize finding somewhere well-lit and with easy access to public transport, especially at night. Check the crime statistics for that specific area online – they're usually available by arrondissement. It's not inherently unsafe, but being aware of your surroundings is always a good idea, anywhere in a big city.

Honestly, the Champs-Élysées is a total zoo for fireworks. Try the Parc de la Villette. It's a bit further out, but you'll get a decent view and it's way less crowded. Grab a spot early, though, even there it gets busy. Pack a picnic; avoids those crazy firework-night prices.
