Do French gift their colleagues for Christmas? Is that a thing?

I’m just borderline a year with a French team. First Xmas, to be exact.

Yeah, totally a thing. Think more along the lines of a nice bottle of wine or a box of chocolates than a ridiculously extravagant gift. Keeps it professional, you know?

Honestly, the Champs-Élysées is a total zoo for fireworks. Try the Parc de la Villette. It's a bit further out, but you'll get a decent view and it's way less crowded. Grab a spot early, though, even there it gets busy. Pack a picnic; avoids those crazy firework-night prices.
