Yunfu day trips in 5 months, what's worth it?

I'm heading to Yunfu in about 5 months and want to take a couple day trips from there. Any suggestions for places that are easy to reach and worth the time? honestly if you're based in yunfu for 5 months you gotta hit up the longshan hot springs in xinxing county. about an hour drive and way less touristy than the guangzhou ones. the water's legit natural and they've got those private pools if you want some quiet.

another one i'd say is skip the big temples and go to guishan tower instead. it's this old pagoda on a hill near the city center, great view of the whole area around sunset. costs like 10 yuan to get in and there's hardly anyone there on weekdays.

if u have a full day, take the bus to deqing county and hike up to panlong gorge. it's a bit of a trek but the waterfalls are real nice after rain. bring snacks tho cause the food stalls up there are overpriced and kinda meh.

Drive out to the Wuzhou border area near Fengkai. There's a stretch of the Hejiang River where you can rent a bamboo raft for about 50 yuan and float past those karst hills that look like they're straight out of a painting. The little noodle shop at the dock does a decent river snail soup, not fancy but the locals swear by it.

If you're into old architecture, the Jinlin Ancient Town in Luoding is worth the two-hour bus ride. Most of the buildings are Ming and Qing dynasty stuff that hasn't been overly restored, so it feels lived-in rather than like a theme park. The sticky rice cakes they sell at the entrance are a solid snack for the walk.

If you've got a car, drive out to the Yunan County stone forest. It's not as famous as the one in Yunnan, but the limestone formations are pretty striking and you'll basically have the place to yourself. Entry is around 30 yuan and it's a solid two-hour walk through the trails.

For a quieter day, head to the Xijiang River ferry at Liudu. The ride across costs 5 yuan and you'll see the old fishing villages on the opposite bank. Grab some dried fish from the vendors there, it's way fresher than what you'll find in the city markets.
