taxis are definitely the move, they're like 7 yuan to start which is wild. if you're near the train station or the main square on xuefu road, you can catch a shared electric scooter instead, there's a bunch of them around and it's faster than a cab for short hops. just download the app before you come, setting it up with a foreign card can be a pain otherwise

yongcheng isn't huge so taxis are the most straightforward option, they're cheap and you can flag one down pretty much anywhere on the main roads. the bus system exists but routes can be confusing if you don't read chinese, and they don't run super late. if you're staying near the city center, honestly walking and grabbing a taxi for longer trips is the play.

honestly if youre staying more than a couple days look into renting a bike instead. the citys flat enough and youll save money on cabs plus you can actually see the old town alleyways without walking forever. just watch out for the electric scooters they come outta nowhere
