honestly the night market is solid but if you want the real deal, go to the morning market on nanmen street around 7am. it's mostly locals buying produce but there's a lady near the south end who makes these sesame flatbreads stuffed with lamb and green onion, 3 rmb each and they're incredible. way better than the tourist stuff at night
yeah the bus system is solid but tbh the bikes around the wetland park are a steal, 20 rmb an hour and you can just cruise along the river path all the way to the old street. way more fun than waiting for a bus and you get to see the willow trees up close

honestly this is a well put together plan for 3 days, i've been living in wuzhong for about 2 years now and you hit the main spots. one thing i'd add is that the Wuzhong Museum is smaller than it looks online, you can prob get through it in under an hour if you're not a huge history buff. i'd swap that extra time for a coffee at the little shop on Zhongshan Road just past the noodle place, they do a decent latte for like 15 CNY and the owner speaks some english
for day 2 the riverside restaurant for carp is a good call but the portions are huge, so dont overorder. i usually just get one carp dish and some rice for two people and it's plenty. also the hike along the riverbank is nice but the trails are a bit rocky, wear proper shoes not sandals
the night market on Wenhua Street is prob the best part of wuzhong tbh. the lamb skewers are great but the cold skin noodles there are better than the ones at Laomian Guan imo. get the spicy ones from the stall at the far end near the park entrance, the old lady who runs it makes a mean chili oil
for the Western Xia Tombs, the taxi driver might try to charge you more than 40 CNY from Lingwu, just insist on the meter or agree on the price before you get in. and yeah that last bus is strict
I've done that day trip to Qingtongxia a few times and the bus is spot on, but heads up the dam gets really crowded on weekends. If you can shift Day 2 to a weekday, you'll have the trails along the river almost to yourself, which makes the hike way more relaxing.
