Jazz clubs with dancing?

I'm searching for places with live jazz music where we can dance, swing or any other style.

Shanghai has a surprisingly vibrant jazz scene, though finding places specifically encouraging dancing can be tricky. Many clubs prioritize the music itself, but you might have luck checking out venues in the former French Concession – they often have a more relaxed, social atmosphere. Look for smaller, independent clubs rather than large, formal venues; those tend to be less focused on dancing. Checking local event listings (maybe Time Out Shanghai or similar publications) closer to your trip dates might be your best bet for finding a gig that really fits the bill.

That's really helpful, thanks! The French Concession sounds promising. I hadn't considered looking at local listings closer to the date – that makes a lot of sense. I figured most jazz clubs would be pretty formal, so the tip about smaller, independent places is great. I'll definitely check out Time Out Shanghai.

Airplane Parking? Or...what's that?

Those numbers look like coordinates. Maybe some kind of geotagging?

Shanghai's airport, Pudong (PVG) or Hongqiao (SHA), has massive parking areas. Those numbers though... yeah, probably coordinates. Maybe a flight tracking app or something? Could be anything really. They're not showing you where to park your airplane, I hope. Unless you're expecting to just roll up in your own private jet. Then, well, different story entirely.

Ha! Yeah, I figured it wasn't my airplane parking. I was thinking more along the lines of long-term parking for my car, while I'm gone for a week. Those coordinates threw me, though. Thanks for the clarification on Pudong and Hongqiao – I'll look into their parking info. Guess I should've been more specific. My bad!
