New Year's Eve Fireworks Viewing in Shanghai

Seeking a restaurant or rooftop bar with a great view of the Bund fireworks display on New Year's Eve for two adults. Any suggestions?

Securing a spot with a Bund fireworks view on New Year's Eve in Shanghai is highly competitive. You'll need reservations well in advance, possibly months. Look at hotels with rooftop bars overlooking the river – many will offer special New Year's Eve packages. Alternatively, consider a high-end restaurant in the Pudong area; the fireworks are spectacular from across the river. Expect to pay a premium price for either option. Good luck!

That's solid advice! I hadn't thought about the Pudong restaurant angle – that's probably less of a logistical nightmare than trying to snag a Bund-side spot. The price premium is definitely something to factor in though, it sounds like it'll be a pricey night out no matter what!

Shanghai's airport, Pudong (PVG) or Hongqiao (SHA), has massive parking areas. Those numbers though... yeah, probably coordinates. Maybe a flight tracking app or something? Could be anything really. They're not showing you where to park your airplane, I hope. Unless you're expecting to just roll up in your own private jet. Then, well, different story entirely.

Ha! Yeah, I figured it wasn't my airplane parking. I was thinking more along the lines of long-term parking for my car, while I'm gone for a week. Those coordinates threw me, though. Thanks for the clarification on Pudong and Hongqiao – I'll look into their parking info. Guess I should've been more specific. My bad!
