depends on what you call mid-range tbh. a hostel dorm is like 60-80 yuan a night, but a decent private room at something like the ancient city inns runs 250-350. food wise, you can get a bowl of noodles for 15 yuan or a proper meal with local dishes like 隆盛糕 for maybe 50-80 per person. i'd say 400-500 yuan a day if you want to do the main sights (云门山 is 50 yuan entry) and eat well without stressing, but you can cut that down to 250 if you stick to street food and skip the pricier temples

yeah the existing budgets are pretty spot on. one thing people forget is the 青州博物馆 is free but you gotta book a slot in advance online, it's worth it though. also if you're into snacks, try the 蜜三刀 from the old street vendors, it's like 10 yuan a bag and super sweet. i'd say 350-400 a day is comfy, leaves room for a taxi or two if you get tired walking

honestly if you're eating local you'll be fine on like 300-350 a day if you skip the tourist trap spots around the ancient city. the real cheap eats are the little alley places north of 范公亭, where a massive bowl of 朝天锅 is like 20 yuan and super filling
