Best neighborhoods to stay in Puyang for a first-timer?

Heading to Puyang next month for a week and trying to figure out where to base myself. Looking for a neighborhood with good food options and easy access to the main sights, any recommendations? i'd actually pick the area around the puyang museum on west huanghe road. it's a bit quieter than central square but still walkable to the old city gate and the peony garden, plus there's a morning market on fengshan street with fresh shaobing and soy milk that's packed with locals. the bus to the longhu lake area is like 10 minutes and you avoid the worst of the traffic noise at night

If you want to be right in the middle of things, the area around the intersection of Renmin Road and Kaizhou Road is hard to beat. You've got the Puyang Central Square and the old city wall within a ten-minute walk, plus a bunch of solid noodle shops and hotpot places tucked into the side streets. Just keep in mind that traffic noise can pick up around rush hour, so a room facing the inner courtyard is worth asking for.

the huayang district near the train station is underrated for first-timers tbh, there's this stretch of xinhua street with a bunch of family-run stalls that do killer liangpi and spicy lamb skewers until midnight. it's a 15 minute bus ride to the main sights but you get way more local vibes and the prices at the night market are half what you'd pay near central square
