I'm heading to Dongtai in about 4 months and want to get some nice shots. Where are the best spots for photography around town? I'm heading to Dongtai in about 4 months and want to get some nice shots. Where are the best spots for photography around town?

honestly the old canal area near dongtai old street is underrated for photos, especially early morning when the light hits the water. the dongtai forest park is a solid backup if you want nature shots, but it's a bit of a bike ride out. also check out the wenfeng tower area around sunset, the sky gets that golden hue over the rooftops

fwiw the xixi river boardwalk at dusk is pretty killer, especially if you frame it with the weeping willows. not many tourists go there so you'll have the path mostly to yourself. there's also a small temple tucked behind the farmers market on jiefang road that has this amazing old stone gate, prob best around 4pm when the shadows get long

The train station itself actually has some interesting architecture if you're into modern lines and symmetry. The glass facade catches good morning light around 7am. For something more gritty, the old textile mill district on Renmin Road has peeling paint and industrial decay that works well for urban texture shots. Just watch your step around the broken machinery.
