Super 8 Shower Pressure?
I've stayed at that Super 8 twice and both times the water pressure was terrible, so it's definitely not just your room. The plumbing in those older buildings around the Olympic Green area seems to struggle because the whole district was built quickly for the 2008 games and some of the infrastructure is showing its age.
If you're looking for a place with reliable pressure, try the Jinjiang Inn near the Beitucheng subway stop on Line 10. It's about four stops from the Olympic Park but the showers have actual force and the rooms are quieter since it's off the main tourist drag. A portable pump is a pain to deal with at airport security and honestly not worth the luggage space for a short trip.
if you're set on staying in that area and want good pressure, try the 7 Days Inn on Datun Road instead. it's about a 10 minute walk from the Olympic Green station and the showers are actually decent, not amazing but way better than that Super 8
portable pumps are a hassle honestly, they need batteries and the water temp can go weird. i lived in beijing for two years and learned to just pick hotels with newer plumbing, the older buildings around there are all hit or miss
honestly i think it's a known issue with that specific super 8. i stayed there a couple years back and my shower was basically a sad drizzle too. the building's pretty old and the plumbing just can't keep up with demand during peak hours like morning and evening
if you're coming back to beijing, skip the portable pump and just book a different hotel in that area. the hanting near huixinxijie nankou station has way better water pressure and it's like a 5 minute walk from the olympic green. rooms are smaller but at least you can actually wash your hair

best photo spots in beijing?
olympic forest park is slept on fr. the linden trees along the main axis go gold in late october and the bird's nest reflection in the lake at sunrise is nuts, barely anyone there on weekdays. also check out 798 art district on a weekday morning, the old factory pipes and graffiti make great contrast shots. tbh bring a wider lens than u think you need, everything in beijing is bigger than it looks in photos
everyone goes for the big landmarks but honestly the best shots i got were from the overpasses on the 3rd ring road at dusk, just traffic light trails with CCTV tower lit up in the background. also guomao at blue hour from the silk street footbridge, the CBD towers all glassy & orange, tripod helps cuz u need a slow shutter. one thing nobody mentions, air quality totally changes your photos so check the AQI app the night before, a clear day after rain is worth waiting for
For sunrise the Temple of Heaven east gate area is underrated, locals doing tai chi around 5:30am with the morning fog, way better than fighting crowds at Tiananmen. For sunset honestly just walk along the canal near Shichahai, the reflections off the water with the Drum Tower behind are hard to beat. Bring a tripod if you can, the good light only lasts like 20 mins this time of year.
