PUCMH Emergency Room Wait Times?

Everything's been smooth so far with scheduling and visas, but my biggest concern is the ER wait time. I've heard stories... long stories. Anyone have any insight? What's the deal with actually getting seen quickly in a non-emergency situation? Should I plan for an entire day just in case? I'm a bit anxious about it all.

if you have a pre-arranged appointment at pumch, you won't be going through the ER at all, that's a separate thing. for your appointment, just show up at the international medical center building, not the main hospital entrance. the ER wait times are brutal though, like 4+ hours on a bad day, but that's for walk-ins, not scheduled stuff. you'll be fine, just bring your passport and the appointment confirmation, and get there 15 min early to register

honestly the main issue with the international medical center isn't wait times, its finding the right building. the building is tucked behind the main hospital and google maps gets it wrong half the time. recommend taking a screenshot of the address in chinese and showing a taxi driver

You're overthinking this. You have an appointment, so you're not dealing with the ER at all. The international clinic runs on its own schedule and the only thing that'll slow you down is the registration desk if they lose your paperwork. Show up, wait your turn like a normal person.

olympic forest park is slept on fr. the linden trees along the main axis go gold in late october and the bird's nest reflection in the lake at sunrise is nuts, barely anyone there on weekdays. also check out 798 art district on a weekday morning, the old factory pipes and graffiti make great contrast shots. tbh bring a wider lens than u think you need, everything in beijing is bigger than it looks in photos

everyone goes for the big landmarks but honestly the best shots i got were from the overpasses on the 3rd ring road at dusk, just traffic light trails with CCTV tower lit up in the background. also guomao at blue hour from the silk street footbridge, the CBD towers all glassy & orange, tripod helps cuz u need a slow shutter. one thing nobody mentions, air quality totally changes your photos so check the AQI app the night before, a clear day after rain is worth waiting for

For sunrise the Temple of Heaven east gate area is underrated, locals doing tai chi around 5:30am with the morning fog, way better than fighting crowds at Tiananmen. For sunset honestly just walk along the canal near Shichahai, the reflections off the water with the Drum Tower behind are hard to beat. Bring a tripod if you can, the good light only lasts like 20 mins this time of year.
