It really depends. If it's a non-life-threatening situation, expect a long wait. Think hours, potentially even a whole day, depending on how busy they are. PUMCH sees a lot of people. But, if you've got a scheduled procedure, the ER isn't really your route. You'll likely go through a different admissions process altogether. Focus on your scheduled procedure prep; worrying about the ER wait time for something unrelated is just gonna add unnecessary stress.

Wow, that's awesome you got to explore Huangshicheng! The scale is just mind-blowing, isn't it? About those off-limits areas... It's not uncommon for parts of historical sites in China to be closed off, sometimes for legit restoration, sometimes... well, let's just say "reasons". Those overgrown areas near the north wall... that definitely sounds intriguing. My guess? Probably just some ruins or storage areas, nothing super dramatic. But the mystery is part of the fun, right?
