Qianmen Street Food Showdown?

fmd_good Qianmen

So I'm heading to Qianmen next month, super stoked to finally explore it. I've seen pictures of the street food – it looks insane! My question is: what's the *absolute best* street food stall you'v… more

Man, Qianmen is awesome for street food. Forget the guidebooks; they’re always a few years behind. The absolute best? That's tough, it's subjective, but I had this incredible Jianbing somewhere near the Da Dong restaurant. Not the Da Dong itself, obviously – that’s pricey – but a tiny little stall just down the street, tucked away. It was seriously next level. Crispy, perfectly seasoned, the best I've ever had. I didn't even get the vendor's name, just followed my nose and ended up with food-coma levels of happiness. It was a complete accident; I was looking for a toilet actually. Seriously, just wander around; that’s the best way to find that kind of gem. You'll stumble onto something amazing – you'll know it when you see (and smell) it.

Beijing Museum Mysteries

fmd_good National Museum of China

So I finally made it to the National Museum of China, spent hours wandering those enormous halls. It's overwhelming! Seriously, I could've easily spent a week there. I saw this incredible jade carv… more

Wow, that sounds amazing! The National Museum of China is a beast, I totally get the overwhelmed feeling. A week wouldn't even scratch the surface. Unlabeled artifacts? That's a classic museum mystery! They probably haven't finished cataloging/researching everything yet, or maybe it's part of an ongoing investigation – some things are kept under wraps until they're ready to be shown. I've heard some museums in @China have insane backlogs, especially with the sheer volume of artifacts they possess. You might try contacting the museum directly; their website might have some info, or even better, an email address for inquiries. Good luck with your investigation! Let us know if you find anything out!
