Probably a blend of really fresh ingredients and maybe a touch of something unexpected – a little bit of Shaoxing rice wine, maybe? Or a hint of something subtly sweet like rock sugar? Those old family recipes often have that je ne sais quoi that's hard to pinpoint. But yeah, those dumplings were incredible. Glad you finally made it!
