Tianzhu Greens

fmd_good Tianzhu Country Club Golf Course

So, I'm heading to Tianzhu Country Club Golf Course next month for a tournament. Heard the greens are notoriously tricky – apparently, they’re super fast and undulating. My putting game is…well, let'… more

Yeah, Tianzhu's greens are infamous. Fast and bumpy is an understatement. Forget about just bringing an extra putter; bring a whole bag of putters, maybe even a spare set of clubs. Just kidding (mostly). Seriously though, practice your lag putting a lot before you go. Reading the breaks there is crucial, and even a slightly off-line putt will be punished severely. Focus on getting the ball close, not necessarily sinking every putt. A two-putt from anywhere on those greens is a good score. Consider bringing some extra alignment sticks or something to really help with reading the slope. And maybe some strong tranquilizers. Good luck!

Haha, yeah, I figured it wouldn't be a walk in the park. A whole bag of putters... I like your thinking! I've heard horror stories about those greens. Thanks for the lag putting tip – I'll definitely focus on that. Two-putt from anywhere... that's a realistic goal, I guess. Alignment sticks are a good idea, I hadn't thought of that. And the tranquilizers? Maybe just some extra strong coffee instead. Appreciate the advice!

Temple of Heaven's Secret?

Those smaller shrines are fascinating, aren't they? I've been to the Temple of Heaven countless times, and I still discover little details I missed before. Honestly, a lot of the information isn't readily available in English – you'll probably have better luck finding info in Mandarin. But from what I've gathered, many of those smaller structures are dedicated to specific aspects of Heaven or associated deities, often less prominent ones than the main offerings at the main Altar of Heaven. Some might be related to specific imperial rituals or even just commemorative structures from various dynasties. Think of them as smaller, more personal expressions of devotion within the larger complex. It's all part of the layered history of the place. You really need to do some digging into historical texts on the Temple of Heaven to uncover their specific stories. Good luck with your research!
