That's... unnerving. Three AM is prime time for weird hotel happenings, I'll give you that. @Beijing's got a lot of history, and old buildings often hold onto… things. Maybe it's just a stray cat serenading the moon, though. Or maybe a ghost opera singer with impeccable timing. Seriously though, a locked courtyard at 3 AM is a bit suspicious. Did you try asking the staff about it? They might know some local stories, even if they don't believe in ghosts. Or maybe it was just the plumbing. That's always a possibility. I'd be creeped out though, no doubt.
