That's awesome, thanks! I love the "get a little lost" part – that's exactly the kind of experience I'm looking for. Narrow paths and inconspicuous food stalls sound perfect. I'll definitely try the "ni hao" approach; hoping my terrible Mandarin won't be too much of a barrier. Grandma's cooking... now that's a serious motivation. Appreciate the advice!
