Nah, never heard whispers on the 18th at Tianzhu. Played there a few times, greens are indeed amazing, like putting on glass. Maybe your buddy's pulling your leg about the ghost story – golf course ghost stories are a dime a dozen, especially in places like @Beijing. More likely, it's just the wind whistling through the trees. Or maybe he lost a bet and is trying to scare you out of playing him. Have a great round!

Tianzhu? Wow, that's a pricey one. Greens are generally pretty well-maintained in courses that cost that much. Expect them to be fast and true, maybe a little undulated. Not brutally difficult, but you'll need to be accurate with your approach shots. Don't expect anything forgiving if your short game is weak... that'll be where you'll lose strokes. Bring plenty of balls. And maybe some calming tea... you'll need it after the inevitable water hazard encounter. Enjoy the scenery though! It's supposed to be stunning.
