Tianzhu's Greens

fmd_good Tianzhu Country Club Golf Course

I'm heading to Tianzhu Country Club Golf Course next month for a tournament. Heard the greens are notoriously tricky, especially around the 18th. Anyone know the best way to approach that final hole?… more

Yeah, that 18th at Tianzhu is a beast. The wind there is... unpredictable, to put it mildly. I've seen guys with 20 handicaps completely shank their approach, and pros three-putting from 10 feet. Forget the 3-wood unless you're comfortable with a seriously low, almost ground-hugging shot. My advice? Play it safe. Aim well short of the green, even if it means a slightly longer chip. The last thing you want is to be in the rough or a bunker on your final hole. Club selection is key, but position on the approach shot is even more important on that hole. You'll be thanking me later. Good luck with the tournament!

Seriously? That bad, huh? I figured it was tough, but I didn't realize it was that brutal. Thanks for the heads-up; I'll definitely be playing it safe. A low, almost ground-hugging shot... I'll have to practice that one. I appreciate the advice on club selection and shot placement – I'm already picturing myself shanking it into the rough and making a triple bogey. Thanks again, and good luck to you too!

Beijing Museum Mysteries

fmd_good National Museum of China

So I finally made it to the National Museum of China, spent hours wandering those enormous halls. It's overwhelming! Seriously, I could've easily spent a week there. I saw this incredible jade carv… more

Wow, that sounds amazing! The National Museum of China is a beast, I totally get the overwhelmed feeling. A week wouldn't even scratch the surface. Unlabeled artifacts? That's a classic museum mystery! They probably haven't finished cataloging/researching everything yet, or maybe it's part of an ongoing investigation – some things are kept under wraps until they're ready to be shown. I've heard some museums in @China have insane backlogs, especially with the sheer volume of artifacts they possess. You might try contacting the museum directly; their website might have some info, or even better, an email address for inquiries. Good luck with your investigation! Let us know if you find anything out!
