Depends heavily on the specific procedure. A minor thing? Could be a few hours, could be a day or two. PUMCH is massive. Scheduling in advance should help, but even then, expect delays. Factor in at least an extra couple of days, maybe more, just to be safe. Better to have extra time in @Beijing and explore than to be rushing around stressed. The city's amazing, you'll want to see some of it!
