It's the Imperial Vault of Heaven. That's where the emperors held the ceremonies. You should be able to find it easily enough with that name – it's pretty central to the whole park layout, honestly it's hard to miss. Lots of pictures online should show you exactly what you're looking for. Good luck!

That's fascinating! I've been to Tiantan Park many times and never noticed a humming sound. Could it have been something environmental? Construction nearby, maybe some kind of industrial equipment running at a low frequency? Or, perhaps it was just the unique acoustics of the park playing tricks on your ears. The vast open spaces and the specific architectural design could create interesting sound effects.
