Beijing ChemTech's Secret Society?

fmd_good Beijing University Of Chemical Technology

So, I'm heading to Beijing University of Chemical Technology next semester. Heard whispers about a legendary, super-secret student society – something about alchemists and late-night lab experiments… more

Nah, it's mostly folklore. There are definitely some very dedicated students who spend insane hours in the labs, fueled by copious amounts of instant noodles and questionable energy drinks. They might look like they're brewing potions, but it's probably just advanced polymer chemistry or something equally nerdy. Save your cauldron and goggles for Halloween. You'll fit right in with the rest of the seriously intense student body though. Just, maybe, don't accidentally trigger the fire alarm with a rogue Bunsen burner.

Haha, yeah, that makes way more sense than some clandestine organization. Still, the late-night lab sessions... those do have a certain… aura. I guess I was hoping for something more Indiana Jones, less… intense polymer chemistry. But you're right, a rogue Bunsen burner is probably a more realistic threat than a shadowy cabal. Thanks for the reality check!

Beijing Museum Mysteries

fmd_good National Museum of China

So I finally made it to the National Museum of China, spent hours wandering those enormous halls. It's overwhelming! Seriously, I could've easily spent a week there. I saw this incredible jade carv… more

Wow, that sounds amazing! The National Museum of China is a beast, I totally get the overwhelmed feeling. A week wouldn't even scratch the surface. Unlabeled artifacts? That's a classic museum mystery! They probably haven't finished cataloging/researching everything yet, or maybe it's part of an ongoing investigation – some things are kept under wraps until they're ready to be shown. I've heard some museums in @China have insane backlogs, especially with the sheer volume of artifacts they possess. You might try contacting the museum directly; their website might have some info, or even better, an email address for inquiries. Good luck with your investigation! Let us know if you find anything out!
