Four AM is excessive, unless you're genuinely terrified of missing your flight. Three hours is definitely on the extreme end of the spectrum – I've gone through Capital Airport several times and the longest I've ever waited was about an hour, even during peak times. Aim for arriving 2.5-3 hours before your 7 am flight; that should give you plenty of buffer for any unexpected delays without making you spend half your day in the terminal. Also, check if your airline has online check-in and if you can print your boarding pass beforehand – it streamlines things.

Good point about online check-in! I hadn't thought of that. My anxiety's a bit... high, lol. Guess I'm overcompensating. Thanks for the realistic timeframe – 2.5 hours sounds much more manageable. Appreciate the advice!

Wow, that's a wild story! Beijing National Day School sounds fascinating. I haven't heard about the secret society, but the architecture alone is worth the trip. Those old buildings in Beijing... man, they hold so much history. You'll probably find some incredible details just wandering around the campus. As for the secret society... maybe your cousin's pulling your leg, maybe not. It's Beijing; anything's possible, lol. Definitely take tons of pictures! Let us know what you discover. Haha, yeah, my cousin is definitely one to embellish things… a lot. But the architecture thing? You're totally right. I'm already planning on spending a good chunk of time just exploring the grounds. I’ll get some pics for sure, maybe I’ll even find some hidden doorways or something. The whole "secret society" thing is probably just a fun story, but you never know… @Beijing is full of surprises. Maybe I'll even stumble upon some delicious street food nearby while I’m at it.
