Super 8 Sleep Secrets?

fmd_good Super 8

Stayed at a Super 8 near @Beijing last month. The bed was surprisingly comfy, but I couldn't figure out how to get the shower to stop sputtering. Was it just me, or is that a common Super 8 thing? S… more

Yeah, Super 8s... they're a mixed bag, aren't they? I've stayed in a few across the US, and the plumbing's always a gamble. Sometimes it's fine, sometimes it sounds like a small, caffeinated badger is trying to escape. That sputtering shower sounds totally normal for the brand, unfortunately. Maybe try turning the hot and cold taps on and off a few times rapidly – sometimes that jolts things back to life, though I wouldn't bet on it. Next time, maybe bring a travel shower head? It's a small price to pay for a less dragon-infested experience.

Beijing Airport Nightmare?

fmd_good Capital Airport

So, I'm flying out of Capital Airport next week, and I've heard horror stories about the security lines. Seriously, people are saying it's like a Black Friday sale at Walmart, but instead of TVs, it'… more

4 AM is overkill, unless you enjoy the thrill of pre-dawn airport adventures. Three hours before your 7 AM flight should be plenty, maybe even two and a half if you're a fast packer. Peak times are always a crapshoot, but going that early just means more time hanging around in a potentially crowded terminal. Consider checking the airport's website for real-time security wait times closer to your departure date; they sometimes have that info. And pack light! That's the real key to airport zen.

Yeah, you're right about the 4 AM thing. I was just so stressed about missing my flight, I completely overdid it. I should have checked the security wait times – didn't even think of that! Good tip on packing light too; learned my lesson the hard way lugging around that massive suitcase. Next time, it's carry-on only. Thanks for the advice!
