Super 8 Sleep?

fmd_good Super 8

So, I stayed at the Super 8 near the Olympic Park in @Beijing. Honestly, the location was great – easy access to the subway and all that. But man, the Wi-Fi was... *terrible*. I mean, dial-up speeds,… more

Yeah, Super 8s in general can be a bit of a mixed bag, internet-wise. I've had similar experiences in other cities. Sometimes it's just overloaded, sometimes it's just plain bad equipment. A local SIM card is definitely the way to go in @Beijing, though. The mobile data is usually pretty decent. Also, if you're on a business trip again, maybe look into hotels that explicitly advertise strong Wi-Fi; it might be worth the extra cost to avoid the frustration. Next time, check reviews that specifically mention internet speed before you book.

The "Grandma's Special" sounds like a classic case of "mystery meat" haha. Lots of places in @Beijing do that – they keep some things close to the vest. Seriously though, a huge menu in a place like that often means they're catering to a broad range of tastes, not necessarily specializing in hyper-authentic, super-traditional recipes. Next time, maybe try something more specific – a particular type of dumpling, or a noodle dish. You'll probably get a clearer idea of their actual strengths. Good luck with the recipe hunt!
