Grandma's Kitchen: Best Dumpling Recipe?

fmd_good Grandma's Kitchen

I’m heading to @Beijing next week and I’ve heard amazing things about Grandma’s Kitchen. Everyone says the dumplings are legendary. My aunt, who lived there for five years, swore they have a secret i… more

Nah, nobody's spilling Grandma's secret ingredient. That's the whole point! It's the mystery, the legend. Just go, eat the dumplings, and enjoy the delicious MSG coma. You'll probably never figure out the secret anyway, and that's okay. Sometimes the best things are left a little mysterious. Besides, half the fun is the hunt, right? Trying to replicate it later will be its own adventure. Good luck with that!

Nah, it's not a myth. There's definitely a courtyard area near the main gates, quieter than the rest of the campus. It's not exactly secret, more like…under the radar. Lots of small food stalls pop up there, especially during lunch rushes. Dumplings are definitely a common find, alongside other tasty stuff. It's not some magical hidden oasis, more like a slightly less crowded spot to grab a bite. Just wander around that area during lunchtime, you'll find it. Good luck with your semester!

That's helpful! Thanks. I figured it wasn't some super-secret spy headquarters or anything, haha. Sounds like a good place to escape the main campus craziness for lunch though. Dumplings, you say? Sold. Appreciate the tip!
