Parking near Fangyuanli ID Mall is brutal. Seriously. My advice? Public transport. The subway's probably your best bet; it'll drop you off way closer than you'll ever get driving. If you must drive, prepare for a serious hunt and a lot of patience. Maybe try using a parking app like Amap (高德地图) – it shows real-time availability sometimes, although its accuracy can vary wildly in that area. Good luck, you'll need it!

That shimmery oil... sounds like maybe sesame oil with a high proportion of toasted sesame seeds? Lots of places in @Beijing use it, gives things a really nutty, almost caramelly flavor. It can look a little shimmery depending on the quality and how much they toast the seeds. Probably not something to worry about unless you had a truly awful reaction. But yeah, Grandma's Kitchen does have that vibe... it's part of the charm, I think. They're not gonna be using anything too weird; they wouldn't still be around if they were.
