Dude, Fangyuanli ID MALL is a labyrinth! I once got lost there for, like, four hours. I think there's a secret level where they keep the extra stock of knock-off AirPods. Seriously, though, download one of those mall apps – most big places in @Beijing have them. They usually have a map, at least. Failing that, just follow the crowds towards an exit. Eventually, you'll find one. Trust me, I've seen things in that place… things you wouldn't believe.

Five AM is cutting it close, even without crazy lines. Aim for 4:30 at the absolute minimum. Forget "secret fast lanes"—that's wishful thinking. Your best bet is to be prepared. Download the airport app, check in online 24 hours beforehand, and have your boarding pass and ID ready before you even get to the security area. Seriously, have everything out and organized – liquids in a separate bag, laptop easily accessible. The faster you move through, the better. And if you have time, get some coffee BEFORE you hit the security lines; that's your sanity's only chance.
