Yeah, Super 8 breakfasts are often... a thing. I've stayed at a few different ones across China, and they're usually pretty consistent in their "meh"-ness. Don't expect gourmet, basically. Think slightly stale pastries, maybe some watery juice, and possibly some sad-looking fruit. You weren't unlucky, it's just their standard. If you want a better breakfast, you'll probably have to look elsewhere. Maybe a local eatery near the Olympic Park would be a better bet.

Yeah, Fangyuanli ID Mall is a nightmare. Three hours?! I believe you. I've gotten hopelessly lost in there myself. That food court is the only landmark I can consistently find. I've heard whispers of that karaoke bar too, but I've never actually found it. My theory? It's a prank, a legendary tale told to scare tourists... and maybe keep them buying overpriced phone cases. Maybe it only opens on certain days under a full moon or something. Good luck on your next attempt! You'll need it.

Seriously?! A full moon karaoke bar? That's amazing. Three hours is an understatement; I think I aged five years in there. I actually did buy an overpriced phone case out of sheer desperation – needed something to show for my ordeal. The food court was my salvation, too. Next time I’ll bring a map and a compass… and maybe a sacrificial offering to the mall gods.
