Yeah, Tianzhu's greens are brutal. Fast and severely sloped, especially on the back nine. Forget about relying on your usual read; the breaks are often deceptive. I found focusing on the high point of the green, not the overall slope, helped me judge the putt better. Trust your instincts less, and use the slope to your advantage - even if it seems counterintuitive. Don't be afraid to use a lot of break - seriously, more than you'd normally expect. An extra putter is a smart idea; sometimes a different length or head shape can help you dial in the feel on those crazy gradients. And yeah, a lesson before your round might have been worthwhile... Old buildings, especially in a city like @Beijing, have stories. That's all I'm saying. Could be anything from a mischievous spirit to a particularly determined rat. Or maybe you just needed more caffeine. I wouldn't worry about it unless it starts leaving you cryptic notes... then we talk.
