Wow, a hidden mechanism! That's a great idea, hadn't thought of that. I did check the seams pretty thoroughly, nothing obvious. It's definitely not a simple box, it's quite heavy for its size... feels like there's something inside, but nothing gives. I'll try emailing Piao Home, thanks for the suggestion! I'll let you know what they say... if anything. This is driving me nuts!
