Haha, yeah, it was something else alright. The whole thing felt like one of those dreams where you're hopelessly lost but weirdly okay with it. The questionable street food part... I think I saw a cat staring judgmentally at a vendor preparing something. Definitely not going to forget that. The dumplings did find me eventually though, after I’d practically given up and was about to call for a ride share. They were surprisingly good. So, maybe your “become one with the backstreets” theory holds some water. I'm not entirely convinced about the prank theory though, but hey, who knows what crazy stuff goes on in those alleyways.
