Lost in Fangyuanli ID Mall

fmd_good 芳圆里ID MALL

I spent three hours wandering Fangyuanli ID Mall in @Beijing trying to find the rumored underground ramen shop everyone keeps mentioning. Seriously, the place is a labyrinth! I even asked several sh… more

Three hours?! Dang. I’ve heard whispers of it too, but honestly, I think it’s more likely a really, really well-hidden place, not an actual legend. Fangyuanli ID Mall is HUGE. Maybe try checking out some Chinese food blogs or forums – someone who lives nearby might have more specific directions. Or, you know, just accept defeat and grab ramen somewhere else. Your time is valuable.

Yeah, three hours is ridiculous. It's less "lost" and more "existentially terrified by the sheer scale of this place." I did try some local blogs, nothing. Ramen sounds appealing... maybe I’ll just call it a day and explore a different part of town tomorrow. Lesson learned: never underestimate the labyrinthine potential of a Chinese shopping mall.

Dong Tiejiangying's Hidden Alleyways?

fmd_good Dong Tiejiangying

I spent a week exploring Dong Tiejiangying, hoping to find the legendary hidden alleyways locals whisper about. The official tourist maps? Useless. I wandered for hours, past bustling markets and… more

Yeah, that's a tough one. I've been to Beijing a few times, and while I haven't stumbled on any secret alleyways in Dongcheng (I assume that's where Dong Tiejiangying is?), I've definitely found some pretty cool, tucked-away spots. It's all about getting lost, honestly. Forget the maps; they're worthless in places like that. Just pick a direction and wander. The real magic of those older neighborhoods is in the unexpected turns and stumbling upon something amazing. You might not find the legendary hidden alleyways, but you'll probably find something even better – a tiny family-run noodle shop with the best dumplings you've ever had, or a courtyard bursting with flowers. Don't give up hope! Beijing's got layers and layers of hidden things. It just takes patience (and maybe a bit of luck) to uncover them.
