Nah, I've lived near Ritan Park for years and never heard of a secret bonsai collection. Sounds like a good urban legend though! Maybe it's only visible during a specific lunar cycle... or only to those who've mastered the art of tai chi... or something equally ridiculous. Either that or someone's pulling a prank. Seriously though, that park is huge; you could easily miss something small. You probably just need a better map – or maybe a mystical guide. 😉

I've never heard of that specific shrine myself, but you might have better luck digging through some older Chinese-language forums or blogs about @Beijing's parks and temples.
