Tianzhu's Greens

fmd_good Tianzhu Country Club Golf Course

I'm heading to Tianzhu Country Club Golf Course next month for a much-needed golfing getaway. Heard the greens are ridiculously well-maintained, almost unfairly so. My question is: what's the best wa… more

Embrace the ridiculousness of it all. Seriously. Those greens are amazing, but you're not playing in a tournament. Rent a cart, blast some music (if allowed), and laugh at your shanks. Focus on the scenery – it’s beautiful out there. Don't beat yourself up over a bad shot; just move on. Maybe even play a few holes backwards just to break the routine. The Tianzhu Country Club is gorgeous; let it be a backdrop for a fun day, not a source of stress. You'll probably still hit some bad shots, but who cares? It's supposed to be enjoyable.

Fangyuanli is a beast! I felt the same way. My advice? Find a major anchor store – like a big supermarket or something easily recognizable – and use that as your orientation point. Every time you get disoriented, head back towards that. Think of it as triangulation. It's less about memorizing the map and more about establishing reference points. And yeah, those bonsai trees were cute. Almost worth getting lost for. Almost.

Totally get you. Fangyuanli is a maze! I ended up circling the same block three times before I spotted that ridiculously oversized Hello Kitty statue – that became my North Star for the rest of my wandering. Seriously, though, that triangulation tip is gold. Should've thought of that. Next time, I'm bringing a compass and a really bright, ridiculously oversized something else as a landmark. Maybe a inflatable T-Rex?
