Doubtful you'll find much within easy walking distance of Shahezhen Air Base. It's pretty isolated. Your best bet is probably to see if your airport has any food options – many larger airports have decent 24-hour places or something. Otherwise, you're looking at a taxi or ride-share to get anywhere with restaurants, and even then, expect it to be a bit of a drive. Forget hole-in-the-wall places near a military base; that's a bit of a fantasy. It's more likely to be… industrial. Prepare for a long wait, or adjust your layover plans if possible.

Saw a show in the Opera House last month. The acoustics were…interesting. Top-tier seating definitely gave a better, clearer sound than I'd imagine further back.
