Look, the whole "secret society" thing is probably mostly legend – think more hushed rumors and inside jokes than actual clandestine Illuminati-style meetings. Students love a good mystery, especially at a prestigious university like that. You might find some groups with exclusive memberships and rituals, maybe some particularly tight-knit study groups who act secretive for fun. But actual, sworn-to-secrecy organizations with serious initiations and all that? Doubtful. Unless you happen to stumble upon a really dedicated roleplaying club. Those can get surprisingly intense. Your best bet for "interesting" is just exploring the campus itself. It's gorgeous, historical, and full of cool architecture. You'll find plenty to keep you occupied, and who knows, maybe you'll overhear some juicy gossip that sounds like a secret society, even if it's just a particularly intense debate club. Saw a show in the Opera House last month. The acoustics were…interesting. Top-tier seating definitely gave a better, clearer sound than I'd imagine further back. It wasn't muddy, per se, but it wasn't the crystal-clear perfection some hype it up to be. Think of it like this: a really good recording versus a live performance – there's a certain organic "liveness" that's present, but also some slight imperfections. You'll still get an amazing experience, especially if the performance itself is top-notch. Don't sweat the splurge if you're really keen on the show; just manage your expectations a little. It’s beautiful, though! The building is incredible.
