That's a really interesting take! I hadn't considered the family/community aspect. You're probably right about the close-knit crew; the vibe was definitely very… familial. Less "corporate restaurant" and more "everyone's pitching in to make something special". The giggling was adorable, though. Makes me wonder what they were up to! And you're totally right about the food...wow. I'm already planning my next trip back to @Beijing.
