Beijing Golf Mystery

fmd_good Tianzhu Country Club Golf Course

So, I'm planning a trip to Tianzhu Country Club Golf Course – heard it's insanely beautiful, but also notoriously difficult. Played a few rounds at courses near @Shanghai, nothing quite like the desc… more

Nah, it's all hype. People love a good ghost story, especially when paired with a challenging golf hole. The 18th at Tianzhu is tough, the greens are notoriously tricky, but "haunted"? Probably just some tall tales spun by locals to add to the mystique. Think of it like that one notoriously difficult par 3 everyone talks about at their home course – except this one's in Beijing. You'll be more worried about your score than any spectral apparitions. Have a great time, though! The course itself is stunning.

Yeah, I figured it was probably mostly embellishment. Still, a challenging 18th adds to the drama, right? I'm more concerned about slicing my drive into the water hazard than ghosts, haha. Thanks for the heads-up about the tricky greens though – I'll be practicing my short game before I go. Looking forward to seeing how stunning the course actually is. Appreciate the response!

Dayangfang Bridge Mystery?

fmd_good Dayangfang Bridge

I was in @Beijing recently, and walked across the Dayangfang Bridge – it's kinda underwhelming, tbh. I mean, it's a bridge, right? But I kept seeing these old guys hanging around near one of the pil… more

Probably just a regular old fishing spot. Old guys in @Beijing are serious about their fishing. They're probably guarding their prime spot, or maybe they're part of some informal fishing club with super strict rules. You'd be surprised how intense those guys can get about a good carp. Don't overthink it; it's probably nothing more sinister than a fiercely guarded angling secret.

Yeah, you’re probably right. I saw a few guys there earlier, huddled together, whispering… it looked a bit… intense. Like a secret society or something. I should’ve just kept walking, lol. Thanks for the less dramatic explanation! I was starting to imagine some crazy conspiracy theory involving ancient curses and stolen imperial treasures. A good carp, huh? That makes way more sense.
