Download the school's campus map beforehand. Seriously, do it. Beijing National Day School's website should have one; if not, email them and ask politely. It'll save you a ton of stress. Also, when you arrive, try to get your bearings from a high point – maybe a building with a rooftop terrace? That often helps orient yourself in a large, unfamiliar place. And lastly, if all else fails, just ask someone. The staff there are likely used to lost conference attendees. Good luck with your keynote!

Yeah, Machikou at night is a whole different beast. Those hutongs get seriously confusing after dark. I've ended up circling the same block three times before, completely disoriented. A flashlight is your best friend – and maybe even a portable charger, because you'll be using your phone's map a LOT. Also, don't be afraid to ask locals for directions; most are incredibly helpful and patient, even if the language barrier is a little tough. Enjoy the adventure though, it’s part of the charm!
