Wow, that's...intense. A haunted courtyard? That's way more interesting than I expected. I'd definitely avoid it at night, wind and old pipes or not! The student-beer-and-stories angle is brilliant though, hadn't thought of that. Thanks for the tip; I'll be sure to pack some RMB. Really appreciate the insights – sounds like Peking University has a much richer, more… layered history than I originally imagined.
